Question:

Any suggestions on fun jobs to add to my "Year of alternative Employment" portfolio?

After 3 years working in an extremely boring office job, I have taken it uppon myself to spend a year trying out different, exciting jobs before I re-commit myself to the 9 to 5. I'm thinking along the lines of Tv extras, roadies etc. Anything that takes me to different locations and allows me to meet a variety of people.
If you can suggest anything or can share any experiences I would be really greatful.
Thanks, Lillian

Perhaps it isn't a job you're looking for but an adventure. I had a crap job but then I decided to row the Atlantic, in fact I ended up doing it twice. Afterwards it gave me the opportunity to do loads of things. I worked for BBC radio, went on game shows, chat shows, got in the news papers and now I speak about it professionally. If you are really looking to change your life don't do it by half measures. It sounds like you're only giving yourself one year of fun before the slog of 'real life'. This is REAL LIFE, enjoy it, stretch yourself, be different from the norm. You'll be a wiser, happier person for it. Enjoy xx
