ohk so the main character is a girl called scout who is very intelligent for her age!. she has a brother called Jems and they have good times together!. her mother is dead and she lives with her father, Atticus!. Atticus is a lawyer, a good one, and a brilliant father too!. Atticus has a unique parenting style and really makes his kids think about situations and deal with them themselves!. Atticus is asked to defend a Blackman in court and aggrees to do it, much to the uproar of a lot of people in the county- Maycomb!. The black man, Tom Robinson is a man who is being unfairly accused of raping a white girl called Mayella Ewel!. Mayella's father is getting her to say this, to defend the fact that he actually beat her {badly!.}In court, Atticus actually fails the case, but only because of the unfair racism and segregation of the time!. Along the way, there is the mystery and intrigue that is Boo Radley, their never-outdoors neighbour!.!.!.!. who turns out to be a kind man!. The themes are racism and prejudice!. U R Screwed!. It's about a brother and sister and their experiences at home and school and in-between!. And one of the main characters is this guy who everyone thinks is a borderline criminal just because he doesn't fit in!. At some point he gets accused of murder!. Later he's vindicated!. I can't remember much more than that!. The father was a good guy, and if I remember there was no mother around!. It's a good book, worth reading I think!. Don't watch the movie!. It's a coming of age novel about the importance of moral teachings in a young persons life and being able to accept unfair things in life!. I really hope you read it!. I tend to avoid required reading but this is one of the few I accually finished in high school!.

I believe the story takes place during the 1940s!.
Just read the book, it is not a difficult read,
