Question: Does Art School do this to everyone!?
My gf is an art school grad!. 99% of her friends are, also!. They are all the most miserable, unimaginative people I've ever seen going through the motions of life!.
I saw my gf's photo album from art school, she used to wear colors, have wild hair, party, and in the basement are boxes of daring and inspiring pieces collecting dust (she's a sculptor)!.
Let's just say that when I met her, I assumed she had some straight laced corporate or scientific related job by her appearance and demeanor!. I was right, she works in a bank!. But now I know she had a more colorful past!.!.!. WHAT HAPPENED!?

nope!. it doesn't!. But it doesn't make brightly colored hair mandatory either!. So it's probably just a phase of her life she grew out of!. Or from what you say it's the bank job which did it!. While art schools are very accepting of rainbow colored hair, banks typically are not at all!. So why would it occur to you to think it was the art school!?
I went to art school for 2 years and while there were miserable unimaginative people a lot were not!. The miserable unimaginative people weren't around that much either, as they tended to try to get by with the minimum amount of work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
No - I have to agree with things the others have said!. Financial necessity and fitting in with the life she now has!. My daughter has a degree in Art, and it actually liberated her!. She's a very interesting person who found herself through her studies, and now works in publishing, and is very individual and quirky, just like her old ma (who had no higher education at all)!Www@QuestionHome@Com
I don't know if it was art school, but something traumatic must have happened to her!. I'm 15 and an artist, and damn, I would rather kill myself than have that happen to me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Financial struggle can do that, ah the harsh reality of college debt!. Not many people can live the starry-eyed dream of a starving artist!. If you love what she has done, pick it up yourself and maybe that'll bring it back to her!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
