Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Most, but not all, Canon PowerShot cameras have this feature; Canon calls it "Color Accent" and the effect can be previewed live!. I'd say all the new SD-series cameras have it, but I wouldn't recommend that you take my word for it!. Some Sony Cyber-shot cameras have this feature too, but it cannot be viewed live; it can only be applied after the picture is taken!. http://web!.canon!.jp/imaging/mode/camera/!.!.!. The name of the effect is called "selective coloring" and can be preformed in post-processing in image editing applications like Adobe Photoshop and The GIMP!. Here are tutorials for each of the mentioned programs: http://www!.photoshopsupport!.com/tutorial!.!.!. http://www!.gimp!.org/tutorials/Selective_!.!.!. This feature is nothing more than a feature/gimmick, so, if you're planning on buying a new camera, your decision should not at all be based upon its availability!. Find a camera that you like then see if it has such a function!. The worst case would be you, with a good camera, spending a minute or selectively colorizing a photo yourself in a free image editing program like The GIMP!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Isn't that done with photoshop!? I'd be surprised if such a camera existed!. You'd have to take the photo and make everything around the tie black and white, that's how it's done as far as I am aware!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Cameras cannot do this!. You have to do it in photoshop!. You take a colour photo and convert it to black and white with photoshop!. Then you mask out the object you want to stay in colour!.Www@QuestionHome@Com haha, sorry couldn't help laughing at the question!. The "selective colour" is not done in camera, it is done during post processing in Photoshop or similar!.Www@QuestionHome@Com You have to do that in photo shop, their aren't any cameras that do that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
