They will have a musical and a play and I really want a part in the musical!. I love to dance sing and act!. I have singing acting and dancing lessons!. But also, as you develop your understanding of the play, develop the characters and how you portray them!. The better you understand the characters the more likely you are to get a roll!. Start a journal about the play and write down everything about it!. Show up to the audition as a professional, with your hair back and straight posture!. When the teachers notice that you are not only there to have fun, but also to work, they automatically begin to take you more seriously!. also, don't forget that even though it may be scary and you may get a small part, theatre is fun and it is what some of us love doing!. And don't listen to the guy up there!. People do try out for plays so don't go in expecting to be the only one!. Depending on how into plays your school is, there could be a lot of competition or very little!. But if you are a decent actor/singer then you shouldn't have a problem!. also, most schools usually give you a part almost no matter what (I said most schools, don't get mad at me if I'm wrong about your's)!. Don't be dissapointed if you get a small role your first time!. My first two plays I got tiny roles!. Anyway, just go in there and give it your all and I bet you'll get a part!. Good luck! oh wait!.!.!.Break a leg!Www@QuestionHome@Com well unless its some arts high school, no one actually signs up for school plays and school plays are more about extra curricular activities and the school showing that they care about the students aspirations and to provide entertainment for the students, parents, teachers, etc!. its not as shallow as a realistic play on broadway or something!. so as long as you preform your best and are good at it, then you should be fine!. sometimes making extra friends in that area can help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Smile!.
