I've never heard that phrase!. However, I have heard "Idle HANDS are the devil's workshop," with variants of "workshop" being "tools," "playthings," or "toys!."

Basically, it means a person who doesn't have something particular to occupy himself with doing will be tempted to occupy himself with sin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I haven't heard that before, but I have heard the phrase that' idleness is the tool of the devil', which means I believe that where someone has no commitments, responsibilities, could be work, desire, then they are more susceptible to falling for and complying with the devil's schemes, which would affect them rather badly!. I am guessing, maybe someone can provide a better answer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
