Question: Am I beating a dead horse here!?
"Reasons" - a protest rondeau
Will freedom be the answer why
we keep on looking to the sky
to see it painted bloody red
in honor of ungrateful dead!.
Why is it that good men must die!?
I watch the spangled banner fly,
but it cannot identify
the path down which we have been led!.
Will freedom be the answer!?
The politicians preaching lie
and do not heed the people's cry
but deafness has been long inbred
and we must lie on our made bed!.
But when I ask why men must die,
will freedom be the answer!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

we need our country back!.
but we will still have to fight to keep it
as their are others who are also in need of
their greed!.
thats the only fight for freedom we'll always have!.
the shifting has only begun,
too bad some of it's internal
lets remember the reason and the heart of the ride!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Although the subject matter makes for some very inspiring poems, I don't see any mention of a deceased equine in the work itself nor even any hints towards one!. I think that perhaps instead of "the politicians preaching lie" (which is grammatically incorrect), you should put "the politicians preach and lie!."Www@QuestionHome@Com
you are not, for one, and secondly it is very good!. try poetry that does not rhyme, it is, if not more, just as inspiring as rhyming poetry!.
keep it up!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Freedom!. Off the shelf pretext, which could be used by both sides!. This has been the case for centuries now!.
