This is a good question, I guess it's really interpretation!. I think that many times young people, like myself a few years ago, find someone that they relate to and their relationship becomes everything to them!. Without realizing it we may forget that our partner has flaws and only see the positive in them!. Mature love understands that people aren't perfect but it accepts the other persons flaws, some young people may have this and some older individuals may never have this so it's not really a question of age although people do get more mature with each relationship usually!.

Looking at my first relationship for example, was I in love with her as a person!? Did I see and accept her flaws, not really, I was more in love with the idea of being in love!. I just got caught up with the relationship and things moved to fast!. I think that you should spend plenty of quality time with the person you care about and not worry about doing things a certain way or about how fast the relationship is moving!. Always be respectful of your partner, and pay attention to how they treat other people, especially their family!. If your partner has a good relationship with their family and friends then this is a good indicator of who they are!.

Basically, I think that being 'in love' with some shows more maturity and understanding of your partner as a whole!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Being in love is all those crazy feelings in the beginning of the relationship!.
Loving someone means that you want to stay with them despite knowing how they really are!.
Infatuation is when you think he's as sexy as Robert Redford, as smart as Henry Kissinger, as noble as Ralph Nader, as funny as Woody Allen, and as athletic as Jimmy Conners!. Love is when you realize that he's as sexy as Woody Allen, as smart as Jimmy Connors, as funny as Ralph Nader, as athletic as Henry Kissinger and nothing like Robert Redford - but you'll take him anyway!. ~Judith Viorst, Redbook, 1975Www@QuestionHome@Com

Although from reading many of the other responses, it's very possible that I'm wrong, but I have always viewed the two terms quite separately!. You can 'love' anyone, with or without them knowing!. You may still have strong feelings and emotions toward them, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a two-way street!. However being 'in love' is a mutual feeling, at least the way I see it!. Two people can together be in love, but you can't be in love if nobody else is in it with you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

when i was in high school i thought i was in love, but i got irritated everytime she did something in particular to the point that i gave up!. Love and in love they are the same thing, you just think they are different because they are used in different sentences, the difference between real love and fake love is that one is constructive and the other is not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

loving someone is to care about someone strongly!.
to be in love with someone means to be devoted to them, and to want to spend all your time with them!. you would be miserable if something happened to them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
