I believe tabula rasa relates to eternity in that we all deserve a clean fresh start as many times as we profess and feel like we want to grow and change our lives for the better!.

No one wants to live their life in pain and negativity based on mistakes!. And if you are in the right frame of mind, you can grow from these mistakes and be more prepared to face the future at hand!.

I looked up tabula rasa and I am curious to read more about it but
I cannot answer your question!.
I don't see how tabula rasa CAN relate to eternity because the thesis, or idea doesn't share the belief in multiple lives and thus cannot relate to eternity because this life is finite and in being reborn you start with tabula rasa, "blank slate"!.

It relates to the philosophy of eternal learning!. We come to earth to learn!. It takes lifetimes (seventy seven times seventy times etc)!.
to even get a grasp of these lessons!.

The slate needs to be wiped clean each time we begin the lessons!. Thus the "tabula rasa- literally clean slate)
