How do I get better at improvising?

Question: How do I get better at improvising!?

The last time I "improvised" was a few months ago, with my guitar teacher; I surprised myself doing that!. I had to go all over the neck since I have trouble keeping my "improvisation" to just a scale!.

I want to get better at improvising but how!? My teacher-and other musicians I watch on youtube-make it look SO EASY!. I want to be good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To improvise!.!.!.!.!.you need to know what scale your in!. Otherwise it's all gibberish!. Try working on different rhythmic variations, and chord structure!. If you bump up an octave, suddenly a whole new world is unveiled!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
