In 1810 a merchant named Thomas Leiper designed and built a railroad connecting Crum Creek to Ridley Creek Pennsylvania!. It was closed in 1829, but in 1887 it became the Crum Creek Branch of the Baltimore and Philadelphia Railroad!.
