Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The south was a supporter of slavery!. This was so because the southerners were mainly plantation owners and because they considered themselves as OWNERS they hired slaves to work on their plantations, and this also resulted in the admission of the missouri state and also the maine state!. I think this could be another reason, not sure: The southerners were more towards expading to the west and because the west was occupied by indians and the southerners MAYBE could have thought of no other way to make the indians happy and take their land from them(pay them and make them happy), so the hired them as slaves and took their land!. Www@QuestionHome@Com because the south is full of backwards, uneducated hillbillies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
