See the following link:

This will give you an idea of one of your family lines only!.You come from many family lines!. This is the DNA you got from your father and his father and his father and his father!.

It represents overall a tiny part of your ancestry!.

If you get back to your 6xgreat grandparents you are directly descended from 510 individuals!. Your Y DNA comes from only 8 of them, leaving out 502 people!.

If you get back to your 7xgreat grandparents, you are directly descended from 1012 people!. Your Y DNA comes only from 9 of them, leaving out 1003 people!.

Your ancestry pyramids as you go back!.

Using your Y & your Mitochondrial are only useful if you are involved in family research and want to match yourself with other family trees but to get an overall view of your total regiona/ethnic background, it is a colossal waste of money!. The only way you can do this is with your Autosomal DNA!.

I know the companies that use only Y & Mitochondrial advertise they will help you
"discover your deep ancestral roots,"but it is only your deep ancestral roots in that those 2 lines only!. If you had your Mitochondrial done it will be from your mother and her mother and her mother, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

possibly Albanian!. Haplogroups are not exact!.!. they go back very far, and are groups, rather than specific countries!.
