Question: NK on English Census Records!?
On the 1901 household census for some of my ancestors it says NK as the birth place for one of them!. Does this abbreviation mean 'not known' or is it a place that i dont know!?!?
By the way this is a census in ENGLAND
thanks :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't think of any towns/cities or hospitals with NK in it - so I believe it does stand for Not Known!.

Sounds like it may have been a home birth, perhaps at the house of a friend or family member!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It does indeed stand for "not known!."Www@QuestionHome@Com
