Position:Home>Genealogy> Anyone know about the Morris'? The 13 Tribes of Galway?Question:My family's surmane is Morris. I did search a few years ago. I learned that in the 1700's my family moved to Virginia from England. They ran a tabocco plantation and had slaves (NOT good...I know!!! It's not something I am proud of!!! Just background!!!) I think that they may have possibly come from Ireland before moving to England and then the states. It may be possible that we are realted to a John Morris of Countty Gallway Ireland. He, and his family, were a part of the 13 Tribes of Galway. My questiona are: Does anyone know anything about John Morris and the 13 Tribes? Anyone know of Morris' (I believe his name was Willima) of Virginia that was a plantaion owner? Any one have similar histories? Any other ppl with that surname? Thnaks!!!
