Question: HELP i want to do pointe next year but in the last year i have sprained both of my knees in dance!?
what am i doing wrong because i will do a move and all of a suddin mi kne will pop and i will be on the floor because mi knee hurts soo bad its not fun at all i rele dnt kno what to do should i still start pointe!? i kno im doing the move right becuse i have done the same move the same way b4 im soo confused HELP ME PLEASE!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a similar problem!. I have a disjointed knee!. I just started pointe this year and i'm working with my teacher to strengthen the muscles by my knee!. Here is one of the exercises i really like!.
-Lie on the floor on you back, With you legs straight out in front of you slowly lift your right leg as far as you can keeping it straight!. Now lower you leg until it's a few inches above the ground!. Repeat about 10 times!. Then do the same on your left leg!.
no do the same thing, only to the side!. Act like your kick your leg to the side but keep it almost Parallel to the floor!. when bring your leg back to "start" keep it off the floor and slightly away from your other ankle!. Repeat about 10 times!. Then on the other leg!.
You can also do this with your opposite leg bent!.
I would try pointe if this does help!.
If you do, do ponite i would suggest talking to your teacher for more exercises

hey dude!.!.!. strengthening your quadriceps and hamstrings can assist with knee rehabilitation!. Of course you would have had a physio or osteopath help here too hmmmm!. Point dancing exacerbates knee injuries so get strong first!. cool!.!.!. cool!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i would not go on pointe cause with a hurt knee you might fall and hurt something else
