Question: Am i too tall to be a dancer!!!?

i just went to my physical!. Im 13!. I am 5 foot 7 and 118 pounds and i havent gotton my period but they said its on its way and they said that u dont stop growing for 2 years after u get ur period!. Will i be too tall to be a ballet or modern dancer!? will no companies take me!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think so, the average ballet dancer is about 5'2 to 5'8!. So you might be on the tall side, but not too tall!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

your defiantly not to tall, but the major thing that you have going for you is that even though you are tall you are thin so that will help you alot with ballet and balancing as well as modern!. It all depends if you want to do it professionally or just for fun!. Though most kids at your age are already training at a pro level by the time they are 13 if they want to be a professional dancer!. But if your doing it just for enjoyment then go for it you can never be too old or to tall!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You sound like you have the body type that many ballet companies look for!. You're very tall and very thin, and if you're a good dancer, I'm sure a lot of them will want you!

You should look into modeling too!.!.!.or incorporate both by modeling for dancewear catalogs like Leo's!. They'd love you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I honestly think that you can never be too tall to follow your dreams and if you have a passion for something!.!.!.!.you will do fine, no matter how tall you are:)Www@QuestionHome@Com
