if you're in places like New York, you have to represent yourself. join acting clubs to find out info. or look in your newspaper.

but i'd suggest getting an agent. and getting a SAG or AFTRA because if you're in places like L.A. then it'll be easy to get into an auditions because your agent will know what he/she is doing.
