Drawing poses?

Drawing poses?

I'm using stick figures to draw poses but they don't usually look normal when i draw them. The reason I'm using stick figures is:
1. it's easier to draw
2. I can add flesh later on
What happens is i can't really find the floor in the picture. another reason is I am having trouble working in the 3-d space. Does anyone have tips to fix this?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: practice drawing from pictures. just open a magazine and pick one page with a nice pose and draw... or, you can always try and get a model.
if you really want to study the human form... get a friend or a family member to pose for you for a few hours.
