Question:I was reading the bottle of enamel from Testor and saw a little warning about it being known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. Is this something I need to worry about if I just use it every once in a while or is this something that usually only happens if your are in contact with large quantities often?

You can find more links than this but these looked fairly interesting especially the one about painters having a higher incidence of certain types of cancer.

I have spent most of my working adult life around cancer producing agents such as paints, solvents, radioactive tracer materials, metallic air borne dusts, petrochemicals. I would certainly wear plastic gloves when using any paints and try to avoid long exposure to fumes.

There are probably more dangerous elements than testors paint in your environment.
