Question:

Whats the message of this poem? What is it about?

The Loneliness One dare not sound --
And would as soon surmise
As in its Grave go plumbing
To ascertain the size --

The Loneliness whose worst alarm
Is lest itself should see --
And perish from before itself
For just a scrutiny --

The Horror not to be surveyed --
But skirted in the Dark --
With Consciousness suspended --
And Being under Lock --

I fear me this -- is Loneliness --
The Maker of the soul
Its Caverns and its Corridors
Illuminate -- or seal --

Hello again dear,
The width or breath of loneliness has no measurement as per the dark recesses of the mind. It is inescapable, and terrifying in its totality. The "Maker" of the soul could in fact be either an entity that is directly related to the malady, or in fact the Lord himself.
If that is so, he would be looked at as having the power to illuminate or seal, in other words "Living hell on earth within the power of the mind."
