Question: What is the name of this book I read for high school summer reading!?
It was about a man and a woman who agreed to meet every five years to catch up on life and have sex without telling their spouses!. i think each chapter skipped five years to show how those two people changed over all that time, or something!. but anyways what is the name of the book!? i went to high school ten years ago, and i'm pretty sure the book was written in the last century!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not sure about the book, but the movie version was called Same Time, Next Year!.

I thought it was a play by Bernard Slade!. They usually met every year but the story jumps ahead by larger gaps!. Sometimes they missed a few years, like one would come but the other couldn't or vice versa!.

It sounds really similar to 6 Rms Riv Vu!. Same Time, Next Year's plot has A man and woman meet by chance at a romantic inn over dinner!. Both married to others, end up in the same bed the next morning questioning how it happened!. They agree to meet on the same weekend each year!. The two are seen changing, years apart, always in the same room in different scenes!. Each usually appears on schedule, but as time goes on each has some personal crisis that the other helps them through, often without both of them understanding what is going on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My first thought was the same as Dooby's, but I think that was "2 Rms Riv Vu," which was on television and is about 2 strangers who meet while looking at a vacant apartment!. There's also "Same Time, Next Year," with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn, which is about 2 people who meet annually to have sex!. I don't know if it came from a book, however!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There was a movie like this that starred Alan Alda and Carol Burnett - I think!. I don't know the name though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
