There is something for everyone!. Or someone i mean!. Um, eh, ahem, I think you had a wonderful pose there and it wasnt the lighting that was the problem!. What exactly were you wanting to model!? The bras and panty section would be a good one for ya!. LOLWww@QuestionHome@Com

There is much more to shooting models than just a camera!.

Read this first:

http://www!.kenrockwell!.com/tech/notcamer!.!.!.

Then spend some time looking at the lighting and poses used on model/photographer networking sites like One Model Place and Model Mayhem to see how they light their models

Next you are going to have to breakdown and buy at least an entry level DSLR to get over the shutter lag issue that all P&S cameras have or you will be missing a lot of your shots, because the model will have moved before the shutter actually opens and to produce the quality images that catalogue printers need!. (hint: Shoot in RAW and then process to a TIFF file so they can make the colour separations for publication of the catalogue)

You will need at least a good 750 incandescent lamp with umbrella and stand and about a 42 inch reflector as just a basic lighting setup!.

The minimum cost for your set up will be

$450 for DSLR with 18-55 mm lens (Nikon D40)
$200 for the 730 watt lamp with umbrella and stand (Lowel Tota-light)
$115 for 5 in 1 42 inch reflector (PhotoBasics makes one with a DVD with helpful hints)
$120 for a background stand (Savage portable)
$unkown for backgrounds !.!. it will depend a lot on what you want !.!. from $4 for 4 yards of black or white yardage from the $1 table or $550 for excellent Muslin backgrounds (Denny Manufacturing is a good source)

Just about $900 minimum !.!.!. then of course you will need a few years experience added to your full knowledge of photography (from when you took classes in photography back in the day)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wowsa Em! I think you have a great shot!. The facial hair and pit hair could really cinch the deal for you!. The only thing I could think of to make it more professional would be a nude shot!. Good luck and I hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
