Question: Is this a good head shot!? (picture included)!?

I know it's not professional, but I didn't have the money so I did it myself!.
I'm thinking about sending this picture to casting agencies, does anyone have any advice on how I can ameliorate future head shots!?

Maybe I am too used to myspace cell phone photos but that is actually a very good picture!. Although you look great in it, it is a bit flat and might be called a snapshot!.

The key in a shot like this is the lighting!. On camera flash is no friend to the subject!.

One thing you can do to "ameliorate" (yeah, I looked it up) future head shots is to consider a web site like http://www!.modelmayhem!.com

A lot of photographers and models do TFCD - where they each trade time/no one charges each other and both the photographer and model get shots for their portfolio!. It looks like you are more interested in acting but you can probably get good headshots there, too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your face is too beautiful for that big hair!.!.!.!.!. also, the angle makes it seem like you are hiding a nose issue!. If you have a nice nose, I would try a 3/4 angle too!. Other than that it looks great!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do it again--and get the eyes in focus!. Wait until during the day--but shoot it in the shade--and don't use flash!.
