Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Depends, how much black do you mix!? how much red do you mix!? the ratio determines the finished product!. Normally it would be crimson/blood red/dark red, but of course you could get variations by just slight changes of the ratio of the mix!.Www@QuestionHome@Com black will be predominant and if it was mixed 50 : 50 ratio, it'd just look black especially if you were using oils or acrylic!. The transparent properties of watercolor would make it look more gray than black!. Black is not a color!. It is absence of light!. So, because colors are perceived when light particles bounce off the pigment--the black would prevent that!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The more black you add, the darker the red will get!. Eventually, it will look totally black!. When mixing, add the darker color to the lighter color a little at a time!.
