Because wide-angle lenses are more prone to vignetting if you use a filter with normal thickness!. I'm guessing extra wide are the same as thin, but I'm not sure on that one!. I have a 28mm lens and was told that a normal filter would be fine!. You'll probably need thin filters for lenses of 19mm focal length and beyond!. I'm only guessing there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The trick to filters is to know the size of your lens and buy a filter that's bigger than the lens!. I use an 82mm circular polarizer with step down rings for my 77mm, 82mm (wide angle) and my 62mm!. My 14mm is much too wide for this so I use this lens sparingly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
