This question is totally variable with the size of each image you shoot!.

One of my cameras shoots 'about' a 2!.5Mb on image each!. A CD holds 700Mb !.!. So divide the the general size of your image into the size of the CD!. In my case I can get "about" 280 images on a CD!.

Because each and every image you take will be a slightly different size, depending on color, detail and so forth, it's hard to give a definitive answer here, and there isn't one!.!.!

If you change the size of your image in the camera's shooting format, this too will mess up the count!. I leave my camera at one size for just about everything so the guess work is less!. I also have my computer set to show me things many don't have their computer set to do!.

I use Windows Explorer a lot and I have many file attributes turned ON and I can high light a stack of images and see how many Mb the stack is!. I can then keep adding images till I get it near 690Mb and then burn a CD for back-up!.!.

Hope this helps!.!.

A "typical" CD can hold about 700 MB!.
The rest depends on you & your camera!.
How "large" are the pictures you take!?
3MB!? 6MB!?
When you store them to microchip, do you save them as originals, or does the camera change them to !.jpg files!.
If the camera saves them as !.jpg files, what size does it save them as!?
When you store them into the computer!.!.!.

As you can see, there's a lot of things that can affect this question!.
It makes it really hard to answer accurately!.
But you could start with the 700MB number and guess 5 MB /photo!.
That'd give you !.!.uhh!.!. 140 pictures per CD!.
