Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The Nikon Coolpix P80 is NOT a DSLR!. While the P80 is a fine P&S camera and has an excellent lens, it is really not a good choice for shooting wildlife !.!.!. it has a small sensor (when compared to a DSLR) and some shutter lag, which can cause missed shots when shooting wildlife!. Nikon's entry level DSLR is the D40 !.!.!. buying the 70-300 mm VR lens will get you started, but you may have to save you pennies a little longer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com This is just a visual aid for Fhotoace's answer!.!.!. http://www!.flickr!.com/photos/samfeinstei!.!.!. You'll see several are shot with the 70-300 lens that he recommends!. http://www!.flickr!.com/search/!?w=7189769@!.!.!. You could do all of this with the D40 or D60!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
