Question: How long does it take for spray paint to dry!?
I'm going to spray paint one of those fold-out display boards for a science fair project!. You know, the cardboard ones!. Anyway, how long will it take for the paint to dry if it's left outside in about 50-60 degree weather/no sun!. Thank you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The spray paint can should tell you!. Usually it will take a certain amount of time to be dry enough for handling (usually around 30 minutes), but its not completely dry yet!. If you want it completely dry, you should let it dry over night!. You want it completely dry if you are going to do other things to it like gluing, writing, etc!. If I were you, I would leave the spray-painted poster outside for an hour or so, then procure a safe place in doors to leave it overnight such as a garage, basement, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It really depends on the paint!. Good paints like Design Master or Montana will dry much faster than Krylon or some other enamel!. Both Design Master and Montana are solvent based acrylics!. For your project I would suggest going to Michael's and picking up some Design Master!. They come in a ton of different colors, and they coat very smooth and even!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
