Nerves that inhibit you are not the good kind!. But the day you stop being 'nervous' is the day that you need to quit!. It is a healthy mechanism that allows us to reach that extra level of energy that makes us theatrical!. Learn to respect them and harness them, as has been said!. You'll be fine that way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Personally, I am always a bundle of nerves at auditions, but I try to channel that into the scene I'm doing!. My best auditions have been the ones that I've been really nervous during, cause all that energy comes out in the emotion I'm channeling for the scene!. Just try to harness it and unleash it, cause a relaxed audition is boring!. I always rub my fingers together when I know I'm up next to focus and work on feeling the emotions in the scene I'm reading!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ok, I've been acting for about 9 years!.!.!. and the first few times I got in front of the camera, and on stage I was a wreck until the second I stepped infront of the audience!. Honestly, it's completely healthy to be a little bit nervous because it shows you care about doing your best and being a good performer!. I still get excited/nervous before I do my work but channel your energy of nervousness into excitement and use your energy to make your acting phenomenal!. If you need help relaxing, drink some tea, do some yoga!.!.!. and honestly this works; breathe in for 4 seconds, and breathe out for 4 seconds!.!. make your breaths even and do it 5 times!. Breathe in your nose and out of your nose, it's a proven stress reliever!.
