Question: Help with jealous cast member!?

I'm in my school's production of Annie as July!. There is a girl who is being rude to me!. She's spreading untrue rumors saying that I'm quitting the play and the director is firing me from the play!. She also says other mean things too!. I know I shouldn't let these things bring me down, but they do!. I know she is just jealous, but still!. How can I not let her comments bring me down and do the play with a positive attitude!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If she's spreading rumours that the director has said something, tell the director!. He/she will probably want to know about anything that's disrupting the harmony within the cast, as it could end up causing problems on stage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have experienced the same problem!. The best way is to talk to the director!. As long as you have been honest from him from the start he should believe you!. The best way is when you go on stage picture yourself in a whole new world!. Throw away all your problems and just have fun!. Theater is for personal enjoyment!. You can speak with the director and ask that you be allowed to address the cast yourself and thank them for their support and collaboration and that despite any rumors they may have heard that you are not quitting the play and really look forward to performing with them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
