Well, this is clearly a highly subjective topic so even proof is part opinion!. But the way I see it, human beings, have yet to recreate the world from scratch or think up a feasible way of everything just falling into place and striking the balance needed for life!. Like that saying goes, God is in the details!? We know that everything alive on earth has an elemental backbone and starts with carbon!. But even our concept of elements, where did elements come from!? There has to be a beginning!. Some solid starting place where everything came from!. Or we are just stuck in a science fiction novel!. When I stand up on mountain and look down, I am struck by a sense of wonder!. A wonder sprung from the understanding that I could not create what is before me!. It's more like the innocent before proven guilty rather than cold hard facts but it's good enough for me!. But if your looking for actual proofs is such a thing exists, Thomas Aquinas has some!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

what do you mean by proof!?

i believe in god!. and i think i have good reasons to believe!. faith isnt one of them!. that would be a categorical confusion!. faith isnt proof of god (at least not in the sense that most people might mean it), faith is belief that he exists!. if it is founded on good reasons, so much the better!.

nor is my belief because of subjective desires or wish fulfillment!. it doesnt make sense to believe in something just because you want to!. god either exists or he doesnt!. im not as interested in subjective explanations as i am objective reasons to think that he does or doesnt exist!.

i have come across a number of philosophical arguments for the existence of god as well as some for the refutation of naturalistic atheism!. but im not sure if thats what youre looking for, since im not certain of what you mean by proof!. so theres no point in writing a long defense of theism if thats not what you were asking for!. but if it is, let me know, and i can attempt to provide a reasonable defense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the proof of god's existence is not the matter anymore!.
if it makes your life a lot bearable to believe in a deity, then that's good!. but if believing in god makes you feel so confined, man that's miserable - better be an atheist!.

Faith is easily the best proof he exists, but it's essentially the weakest also!.

Either way, both sides have an equal argument, but you've gotta admit, faith can be easily diminished, or hard as whatever to defeat, it depends on how you believe it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
