By "functional" I'm implying that the one's who end up on the news (Jeffrey Dahmer for instance) are broken!. So what I'm asking is, do you think that there are psychopaths (no emotions, no soul) who have no desire to kill but are motivated by the things that society tells them they are (money, sex, etc!.) and will live out otherwise normal lives!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Psychopaths are some of the most smartest people on the planet, oh yeah, the function, succeed, copulate, all of it!. and the best are the ones who are random in their acts and random in their life style, meaning to kill for no reason and to change their living habits on a whim, they are aware of what they are doing and really don't give a crap that they are doing it, these are the ones who well never get caught for murder, embezzlement, child molestation, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The estimate of psychopaths in human society is about 4% the estimate for schizophrenics is 1%!. So, there are a lot of psychopaths that are co mingling with the rest of society!. They are not all killers!.They just have no conscience!. They have emotions but no empathy!. They could be a coworker who flat out lies to the boss without even a twinge of remorse!. The person who skips out on a restaurant tab!. What ever!. Not all the reactions of psychopaths are criminal!. They just are able to hide their natures in society!. also, their IQ ranges correspond with the rest of society!. The brilliant psychopath does happen but so does the moronic also, on a criminal level a crime done by a psychopath tends to be thought out and organized!. A crime done by a sociopath tends to be reckless !. I see it now!. The psychopath is the cold blooded murderer!. The sociopath is the respectable, successful businessman who gets ahead by lying and conning and tricking people!. He looks good and has good manners and dresses well and only his victims know the truth about him!. By the way I don't think Jeffrey Dahmer was a psychopath!. I think his crimes were sexually motivated!. I don't think he was without a conscience!.
