Its true philosophy is created so that life can make sense to other people!! Im not saying its bad but it can make a lot of people have many different opinions!.!.!.!.

Look I'm a little confused about god too but some of these people that don't believe in god were probably let down in life and lost their faith!.!.!.Have faith in some sort of super natural force!.!.!.God is out there! JUST BECAUSE WE CANT SEE GERMS DOESN'T MEAN THEY AREN'T OUT THERE!!!

In my opinion there is a god but he created the earth and human beings and let the world spin itself!.!.!.God does not interfere in human affairs as u can see what ever happens in our lives is because of our own choices!.!.!.we create machines and factories and the world becomes polluted!.!.I also believe that God blesses those who have faith in him

All Im saying is Have Faith in God and Just be a good person in life and also try to enjoy ur life!.!.!.!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dear Jordan,
If you are interested in learning philosophy, I sincerely suggest you to learn this subject as your leisure reading!. You can learn it bit by bit at your own pace!. If you take philosophy as your major studies at college, I can assure you that you'll lose interest of it very fast, because philosophy is very boring to learm!. What I suggest you to take a very serious look at your future career and learn something good for your future career such as: High school English teacher, medical database administrator, or professional writer!. Ok!?

Sincerely yours!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well you can always live in ignorance if you want!. But people completely disregard God because through practising philosophy and self-reflection they realize how absurd the notion is!. But there are some who think that philosophies have reinforced their faith!. But one thing for sure is that to remain ignorant is the worst possible way to live!. That is why even though I ridicule the herd, I also feel pity for them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are only 2 ways you can head to!.

LOGIC VS!. FAITH!.

If you are very skeptical in the existence of GOD, go and be Logical which is the very foundation of philosophy!.

If you have belief in GOD then go have faith!.

You cannot have them both for your beliefs will be branded inconsistent!.

We are indeed in a middle of tug-of-war of Theism and Atheism!.

I am actually in the same state now!. Things always change for that is constant!.

BTW, Don't be afraid, It is best to use our own wisdom as a method of autonomy if you don't want to be influenced by other beliefs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's normal if you think god has anything to do with it!. I personally think it's completely irrelevant (but I don't believe either)!. Be aware that people try and replace that god-feeling with the new philosophical-feeling expecting it to do something for you!. You are the only one ding anything to you!. God again has NOTHING to do with philosophy unless it does for you!.

A side note* I think the idea of god is disempowering!. Why do you need one exactly!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its possible that your realising that God is only for the simple minded mass's and when you really look at the issues of philosophy you realise that there is and never was a god and you will be freer and stronger because of it, you no longer need the trainign wheels of a diety but are free to stand tall on your own two feetWww@QuestionHome@Com

Silly dear, Philosophy is not about telling you what to believe!. There were some incredible Philosophers who were theists!. Some came up with interesting arguments towards the existence of God!. Philosophy is about exploring the seen and unseen things in life!. God is one of the Unseen things!.
If you want to keep faith, you will end up keeping faith!. If you lose faith in Christianity or as such, maybe you'll find something more concrete in something else!.
Fact is: Don't let fear hold you back from what you like and wantWww@QuestionHome@Com

You are losing faith because God is for stupid people, and as you learn more, you become a little less stupid!.
It is like tug-of-war, except you are tugging against something that isn't real!.
so **** faith!. **** god!. read more books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why don't you want to lose your faith!. You sound like a kid who doesn't want to lose their imaginary friend!. If you are changing in a good way( as you say) why keep thinking in a bad way!? That doesn't make any sense!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I doubt your claim!.

If you had faith in a god, you wouldn't turn to philosophy for answers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with many answers here!. You are learning that God is and always was a delusion!. Philosophy is freeing your mind from the nonsense of this world!.

Before I became a philosophy major I was a Catholic for 18 years of my life!. Raised that way, and never had the chance to challenge the doctrines!. My studies in philosophy help me see the world more clearly and I no longer believe in nonsense such as supernatural entities like ghosts, and God, and spirits!. Philosophy helps to dispel these absurdities by forcing one to examine the logic behind such claims and to explore their truth using your own reasoning!. Another subject that REALLY helps is history!. Particularly history of Western Civilization!. You learn how Christianity rose along with a bunch of other religions and how the Jesus story (came down from heaven, cured the sick, exorcised demons, sacrificed himself, rose into heaven) is nothing new!. It can be seen almost exactly the same in Egyptian religion with the son of Ra or Amen Ra!. You'll also see a trend in the whole concept of a "virgin birth"!. That is not new either!.

Embrace your losing of faith!. I agree with someone above, you do sound like a little kid not wanted to really believe that Santa Claus isn't real, or that you don't want to lose your imaginary friend!. Get over it!. There is no God!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all I believe and know that Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and savior and that I will go to heaven!. Everything else that I am interested in including philosophy help to confirm the wisdom of God in all things!. Most of the earliest of philosophers and scientists for that matter believed in God!. So they obviously did not see any problem with those disciplines!. And in fact saw them in ways that honored God!. In fact that is what all good disciplines will do!.

The best religion and philosophy is living them daily in our lives!.

The link below is a good Christian link!. It also discusses science!. And they not only do not forget about God but honor him!.

The Bible says the best way to keep your faith is to read and study God's word!. Then go to your Christian book store and find good books that can educate you about philosophy but from a Biblical point of view!. The cashier or worker there can help you!. You can even go online for that information also, but definitely go to your Christian book store!.

For me I did not accept man's definition of life because I know that the Biblical view of life was the truth!. Why should I compromise and believe that truth can come from man when truth can only come from God!?

I am fascinated with science!. I study it on my own without the comentary of some people believing or disbelieving in God!. I studied one topic for over ten years before I got onto the internet!. But never in that time did I ever disbelieve the truth that is in the Bible or lose my trust and faith in God!. In fact the more I studied science the more I praised the fact that God was real!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
