Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There is no mystery actually, whales hear by listening and feeling sound waves!. most whales end up beaching themselves at high tide because when underwater vessels or other forms of sound wave creation causes them to lose all sense of direction and end up running into the beach trying to get away!. Sound waves of high frequencies travel hundreds of miles through water their is no Resistance nothing to stop them!. Ok water is a conductor in a way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Who says we can't!? If you've been paying attention to science, our knowledge of the world around us has been growing almost exponentially!.
