As far as ease of play goes, electrics are by far the "easiest" to play of those towo!.

The Easiest on your fingers is actually a nylon stringed classical guitar!.
But of those two choices it's the electric!.
Acoustic-electrics are no different than a regular steel string acoustic!.
the string action is usually tighter and stiffer and the string heights are usually higher !.

With electrics you can adjust the string height to as low as you can get before you get fret buzz and you can get really light gauges of strings down to!.008 gauge!.

Electric guitar "technique" is more complicated than acoustics, but that's musical "harder" not finger strength harder!.

As for little finger strength, there are those little grips with springed plungers for all four fingers to exercise with, but truthfully the best way is to get some practice scales that use all four fingers, up and down!.
That way you exercise ALL the finger muscles of each finger!.
The little exercise thingie probably doesn't truly simulate actual finger use of the guitar!.

Check out some of these exercises and try a few of them out:

And remember, it's not working until you "feel the burn" LOL
Practice until your fingers feel like they are going to fall off!.
Time how long that takes!. Make it a goal to increase that time every session!.

If you play gigs in a nightclub, a guitar player will be playing for about 4 hours!. So you'll need the strength and stamina to play for that long!.
(not the exercises, four hours of exercises and your fingers will look like Hulk Hogan )
But when I was learning to play, I'd play for 3-4 hours a day, playing along with 5-7 records at a time!.

Playing equals strength

Good Luck and have fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i find acoustic to be better for strumming, playing chords and singing and electric is better for riffs, solos, fast intricate notes type of thing!. generally i'd say acoustic is easier!.

exercise your finger or just play and exercise it that way!. You can use one of those squeeze balls, i've also heard you can stick a squeeze ball between your fingers and squeeze it that way to strenthen the individual fingers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Neither is EASY!. It takes time and work to become a guitarist!.

Consider your "little" finger the "4th" instead and your index is #1 finger!.
starting with the BIG STRING or low E, play it open, then 1st finger on first fret, 2nd finger second fret so on to your 4th on the forth fret and come back down!. Change strings and keep going to the small E string and go back!.Do this extensively just sitting watching TV or whatever, and when you are LIGHNTNING fast at it, HAMMER and don't pluck the strings at all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

electric is easier, strings are softer and there's typically less action!.

you can buy a finger exerciser to strengthen your little finger!. something like this:

Acoustic, its lighter and cheaper, plus no amp
practice and your finger strength will increase!
