beyond that practice practice practice!. learn the fretboard (which notes are where) and just play, play, play!. (i know i am repeating myself but seriously it is really really helpful)!. when you are watching tv play guitar, i know i can easily multitask these two when just doing exercises!.

also a good teacher is worth every penny, where i live a lesson runs about 20$ per hour lesson!. if youre gonna pay however DO YOUR HOMEWORK!.!.!. otherwise youre wasting your money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!.Get a guitar teacher!. It's pretty hard to learn the technique of playing the chords clean without a teacher, so take a few lessons with a teacher first!. Then you can go on to self-learning by internet or continuing at the teacher's!.
2!.Learn the finger positions of the most normal chords!. Learn to play a few songs with these chords!.
3!.Now go to the little more advanced stuff!. Learn some easy string pickings( picking one string after each other instead of all at the same time)!.
4!.Now start learning your favorite songs and stuff!. And learn the more advanced chords as you need them in your songs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lets start off by buying or renting a guitar!. Learn the six strings E A D GBE!. Then for beginners learn to read Tabliture!. It is soo simple!. It has the strings along with which fret to play!. This is how I learned!. There is a web site that offers many TAB songs to follow threw!. www!.ultimateguitar!.com over 30,000 songs!. It will take lots of practice!. But u gotta b devoted!. start off with some chords, memorize them, and then go from there!. after that, you can learn some of your favorite songs!.
