There's lots of things you can do to write a good song!.

Sometimes, songs just come to you!. You might be watching TV, playing a sport or even listening to another song!. This doesn't always happen, but I've written plenty of songs this way!. I've written them down on almost anything, once even my own jacket!.

When you want to just sit down and write, think about things that have recently happened!. Just write down ideas, not necessarily having them flow, or even making sense!. Once you get a few ideas down, then try making them make sense!. Make sure that you use a lot of emotion and complete self-expression while writing songs, almost as such as if you were writing in a diary!.

Rhyming in a song isn't necessarily a must, but sometimes it does make a song "flow" a bit better!. But if there's no way you're gonna be able to make something rhyme, don't force one in!. Just keep writing, heck, maybe you can find a way to make it rhyme, three, four lines down!.

Don't be straightforward in a song!. Use metaphors and such!. They sound much more better than being way too overly straightforward!.!.!.

Writing a song takes 2 skills or more!.
If you are best at making melodies do that first!.
If best at the words then lead with that!.
Once you create one, work toward the other!.
I'm not much at the words, but I can put a tune etc!. to most lyrics!.
I started by taking the words from a song and putting my own melody to it!. Of course I could not publish them, but it was a way of learning!.
next I started putting a story into rhyme!. Then put a melody to it!.
Ive never done anything that was a money maker, but I had fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

here's how I wrote my first song:
I was actually sitting watching scooby doo
And all of a sudden a song hits me! Seriously!
I was like whoa! cool!
So yeah, the song will hit you!. don't try to do it that makes it harder just relax and let your mind wander for a bit!. Then it'll hit you probably!
