i got a recorder for my 5th birthday, then played clari when i was 7!. i took up alto sax when i was 11, and cello when i was 13!. I also sing, and i taught myself guitar and keyboard

I was in first grade, I think!. So I was 6, I guess!. We learned to read music and play the Flutophone -- a white plastic recorder-like instrument -- in school, and at the end of the school year we gave a little concert for our parents!. There was one song that had a xylophone part, and out of 25 kids in the class, **I** got picked to play the xylophone! I was very proud :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I started violin when I was 6 years old!. There was an orchestra and a music programme in my primary school, with teachers for lots of instruments, so I took up violin!. I played it for a few years, but when I was nine the school orchestra finished up and the classes moved to a local music school - but we were still being taught the orchestra parts of songs even though we had no orchestra to play them in, so at the age of 10 I gave it up!. Then I took up recorder, which I kept up when I was 12!. When I started secondary school I began flute, which I still play, and then last October I started keyboard!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
