Question: How to hit a really high A in full voice!!?
Okay, so I'm in the play 'Something's Afoot' as the character Nigel and he has a song called The Legal Heir!. In this song he must hit the A two octaves above middle C!.

I can hit it but it's pretty ugly!. Any advice on how to hit it, or practice so i can!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its a good start that you can at least sing the pitch!. My guess is that your answer lies in how much air you're taking in and how you are using it!. I'm a little afraid to be super specific since I don't know your age, voice type or previous vocal experience but there are tons of breathing exercises out there to help increase intake and usage!. also, I would encourage you to not sing it "full voice" to start off-- that can be damaging to the vocal cords!. Begin by singing it light so that the cords can adjust the faster vibrations and gradually try to increase the volume (which means an increase in air, not an increase in the push of the vocal cords)!. If it starts to hurt or crack then you know you've pushed too far-you'll have to do a little experimenting to find the level at which you can sing it well!.!.!.not everyone has vocal cords created to belt high A's really loud! Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
