Of course you can still learn to play an instrument! With a little practice and good instruction you could become an accomplished musician!. This is something you can do for the rest of your life too!. Look in the local paper for music schools and you will find tons of places to take lessons!. The cost is somewhere between $15 to $25 per lesson and usually they bill you by the month!. Or better yet, someone at your school may actually know someone who teaches it or go to the band director and ask them!? Good luck and if you don't believe you can do it just look around at a few people who have started playing and you'll be surprised at what age they started taking lessons! My nephew began playing the guitar at 15 and he's been playing since then and he's very good!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm 13 and I've been playing the violin for 3 years now, but only in the school orchestra!. It's definitely not too late for you to take lessons but you just can't join the school orchestra!. Violin would be easy for you especially if you were musically gifted!. Violin unlike the piano (which i have been playing for 4 years) just gets easier and easier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its never too late to start playing an instrument!
I take violin lessons and my teacher teaches people from 4-100!
He charges me 30 dollars a week for 1 hour so if you were to start with a teacher I think they would charge you from 30-40 dollars a week!
Go for it! I personally love the violin, and if your that passionate about it,I know you'll do good!
P!.s: Im fourteen!.

Hey Laura,

Go For It! Don't doubt yourself so much, we are all as good as we try to be! If you want to play the violin, then Go For It!

Maybe speak with your old band director for more information as he understands your desire to be musical and he would also have the contacts you need!.

Best of Luck and I hope to hear you playing sometime!

Love, Rod!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is never to late to do anything in life!. (in less your dead)

If you have a dream go for it!. Period! People will tell you it won't work because they cant do it!. If you can not afford lessons then check out some books from maybe your library or local music stores!.

No matter how old you are -- if you are willing to put in the time for practice, you can learn anything -- and if you choose to learn to play a musical instrument that you enjoy, that is something you will always have!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
