Question: Learning how to play the guitar!?
is learning how to play the guitar the same for electric guitars, as it is for acoustic guitars!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
to start to learn guitar the electric is far more fun as it has buttons, more volume, and sounds that the acoustic dont!.Its also easier to play!.
However, they suggest starting on an acoustic for many reasons, as in the long run, it will make you a cleaner more versatile player!.
The techniques involved in each is also different and can be worlds apart!.
You would not go to a race using a bus!., though, basically it drives the same way as a car!.They are just not the same are they!.

The basics are the same!.Electric guitars are easier to fret, strings are looser and closer together, excellent for leads while Acoustic guitars lend themselves better to rythym!.The choice you'll make should'nt be as much in the ease of playing the instrument however, but in the type of music you wish to play!.The answer is yes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The basics are the same!. It is recommended that you begin with the acoustic!. I play both but spend 97% of time on my acoustic- just like the sound better!. also depends on the type of music- for me- bluegrass means acoustic- if you are into punk or rock or country then electric!. but to learn start acoustic!. The learning is the same for both!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes but the truth is it depends on you and the guitar!.
Everyone learns differently, don't wonder why some students fail in school while they have big potential!.
It's because the teacher wants them to learn they way he/she wants and never cares about the students way of learning!.

So to your question it's yes but it depends on how you learn and how much patience you have Www@QuestionHome@Com

Personally, I think it is the same, just that with electric guitar there is more technique that you can learn like Pinch Harmonic and so on!. Anyway, i recommend you to start with Acoustic first as it'll strengthen your finger tips cause acoustic strings are harder!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

just about the same
but in most acoustics the action (how high the strings are form the neck) is normally higher, making it slightly harder!.
This also means if you learn something on acoustic, if you play it on Electric, its a lot easierWww@QuestionHome@Com

Electric guitars are easier to play than acoustic ones!. Learning guitar is the same for electric and acoustic guitars!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, exactly the same, which is why you should start with the kind of guitar that interests you the most!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
