I honestly could not tell you about the Avion 1 or the Special II, as I have not played either in my life!. Regarding the AV 3 and the LP 100, the Avion 3 has a flamed maple top, whereas the LP-100 has a plain top!. The top does not do much for the sound, but it does look 100% better than the plain top of the LP-100!. Avions tend to stay in tune longer than Les Pauls (at least the 3 you named) because they have Grover tuners!. AV 6 has Seymore Duncan Pickups, the same as Slash, Blink 182, and countless other bands and well known solo artists!. If you decide to go with Epiphones, get a Les Paul 100 over the studio!. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the studio is better, as it is MUCH heavier!. I would take the Avion 3 over the 6 just because there is not much difference between the 2, and there is a vast difference in price!. try them all out at a guitar store!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
