I agree with the person who said to take it back to guitar Center and make them fix it or take it back!.
That is why I always tell people on here to buy the demo model they actually played in the store, and not get a "fresh" one in a box!.For that very reason!. I made that mistake with a Fender acoustic once many years ago!. Got a serious piece of garbage!.

If it is an acoustic guitar the problem is harder fix than an electric guitar!.

If you have an electric the problem can be fixed by yourself!.
here's a good illustrated guide on how to do an electric guitar
http://www!.projectguitar!.com/tut/action!.!.!.!.

If its an acoustic it's a pain in the butt!. And DO NOT attempt to do a truss rod adjustment yourself!. There should be no reason that a brand new guitar has a warped neck!. If it does take it back!. Make them fix it!

That all being said, it's also possible that the strings are still "twangy" and buzzy because they are new!. New strings always sound a bit buzzy until they stretch out a bit!.

But since you just bought the thing take it back and have them make it right!. That is your right as a consumer!. The Customer Is Always Right!

Did you buy your guitar new!? If so I would take it back to where I purchased it and either exchange it or have them adjust it for you!. If it is not new, take it to Guitar Center and have them do it while you watch, that way you will understand how both the thrust rod and the bridge interact to align, flatten and produce the sound you want! I tried to adjust the thrust rod on my 12 string acoustic and ended up warping the neck and ruining a decent guitar! Leave that type of work to the pro's!.
Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with most people her and say I would take it back to the guitar center and if they don't fix it they should give up another one!. That's ridicules!.
Adjusting a trust rod can be a disaster if you don't know what you are doing!. Don't fool with it if you're a beginner!. None the less, the procedure, is to not turn it too much, an eighth to a quarter turn at a time!. Then you have to let it settle with tightened strings!. It takes awhile!. Then a little more if it needs it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

for a answer it would help to know what kind of guitar you got!. as for guitar center that will be about 60 $!. you can get a better price at a smaller local guitar shop!. and your string height is too low too close to the frets!. easy adjustment, depending on what kind of bridge you have on your guitar!. ask how much is a set up!. between 40 and 60 $Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would take it into a guitar shop and have them do it for you, it won't cost you much!. I've been playing guitar for years, but I've always been to afriad to fiddle with it too much apart from changin gthe strings haha! I've if ever wanted somethign done i've taken it to a shop or got my boyfriend to do it as he plays too and I can trust him to take it apart etc!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
