An old fellow from Kentucky had drawn down 11 chords on a sheet of paper for me!. He showed me how to form the chords and do some basic rhythm patterns!.

Three months later I was playing better than he was playing!.

Each person learns and masters the technique different!. Don't compare yourself with others and their skills, but concentrate on your own capabilities and willingness to practice, keep the calluses toughened, and motivated to learn more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The first time i touched a guitar was 11 months ago, and now im considered "amazing" haha!.!.!. but i practice everyday for at least an hour or more and i was born with musical talent (not trying to brag) !.!.!.!.but what im saying that how quickly you will learn depends on your dedication to practicing and any "natrual talent" you may have!. and i play the electric guitar!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I took me a year to learn keys and such, but not real playing!.

I could have continued, but scheldules made it impossible to keep practicing and i forgot everything I learned!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on what level of "play" you mean!. To get down basic chords and such took me about a few months!. I've been playing for almost four years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
