You are a professional when you are paid!. That is the definition of Professional!.
Getting a musical instrument company to sponsor you, requires that you are good enough that when people hear you play hundreds of them will want to play the same instrument you do!.
Rarely do they sponsor an armature or even a professional until they have become a star!.
