Question: Classical music suggestions!?
I recently got the song 'Claire de Lune' by Debussy because it was on the Twilight soundtrack!. Much to my surprise, I've found that I LOVE it!. It relaxes me and is so beautiful!. Same with 'Bella's Lullaby' (I don't know if you've heard it, but it's absolutely lovely!)

What are some of your favorite classical pieces!? I would like to listen to more classical piano pieces similar to 'Claire de Lune' or just some really good ones!. Thank you! :]

First of all, Bella's Lullaby isn't classical!. Just to clear that up with you!. I'm glad that you're getting into classical music!. But there is so much classical music, and suggesting something to your taste is going to be hard!. Especially since there is only one piece you like!. A little warning, you can't equate classical music with relaxing!. Not all the time!. Try listening to the music a little more to enjoy it more!.

Classical music is divided by the time era!. Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism, etc!. And the styles are so different!. I'll suggest a few of my favorites, and then you can check them out on youtube!. (I love youtube!.)

But first I'll give you a little background information on classical music!. You have so many different types of pieces!. Symphonies, concertos, fugues, canons, etc!. Symphonies and concertos can fall under a broader term called a sonata!. They are divided into movements!. A typical symphony can last about half an hour, but I've heard symphonies where just the first movement lasts half and hour!. A symphony usually has four movements, a fast-paced first movement, a slow andante second, a "dance-like" style for the third, and a grand, quicker paced on the last!. Like I said, they usually have four movements, but there can be more or less!. A concerto is pretty much built the same way, except it highlights a certain instrument, a solo!. A fugue and canon are very similar too!. A canon is when you have the melody playing in rounds!. Sort of like when you sing "Row, row, row your boat" in a round!. A fugue is like that, except it has some variations!. The beginning part is known as the exposition, and the melody is played!. Then the same melody enters, except it is either played a fifth above or a fourth below, then another time but with an octave difference!. You get the idea that is very complex!. One more thing to throw at you, is counterpoint!. This is when two melodies are played together in harmony!. Very difficult to write!. Bach was the king of counterpoint!.

And finally I get to suggesting the music!. I hope enjoy them as much as I do!.
