Im scared out of my mind because ive been practicing but don't know how to play the piece and im even doing bad on the scales! I know im not a bad player [ive been playing for almost 6 years now] and only 2 other trombones can play them but they said they even struggle a little and their way good!. keep practicing!. i don't think you can get it perfect but at least you wont make last chair!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
for a trombone im not sure if you play all half notes but if you play the same rhythm ( half, quarter, quarter, eighth set, quarter tie to eighth) it is not hard!. you should practice your part but try to play it slower, remember that it is in 2 4, and look for any accidentals and watch you key signature!. then as you get it on the slow speed slowly increase the speed and once you hit allegro practice many times at that speed!. good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com
see if you can find the sheet music online or see if you can listen to it online!.!.!.!.if you played the saxophone, i have el capitan sheet music in the other room!. we had to play it in high school, too!. anyway!.!.!.BEST OF LUCK to you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Honestly, I know how you feel, kind of!. I've played violin for 6 years and I ALWAYS freak out before a recital!.
Just take a few minutes to relax and once you feel like you're not so tense, sit down and just look at the music!. Slowly look through it note by note and imagine yourself playing it in your head!. Once you're comfortable with that, pick up your instrument and actually play it like that!. If you make a mistake, just keep playing!. If you go back, you'll only frustrate yourself more!. And tomorrow, in the auditions, do exactly this, only don't take so much time!. ha ha!. And remember to play through; they're less likely to notice a mistake if you act like it never happened!.
Hope I helped!
