Question: How can we get our drummer to hear us better!?
I'm the lead singer/ rhythm guitarist for my band, and every time we play a live show, our drummer says he can't hear us!. This usually results in missing cues, fills, etc!., which really breaks up the unity we would like to have!.

We usually have a monitor behind us, but he says it isn't enough!. Would two monitors be necessary!? More!? Any suggestions for placement!?

ANY suggestions would be highly appreciated!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your drummer should have his own monitor positioned right near him so that he can hear the rest of the band over the sound of his own drumming!. You might even consider getting him an in-ear monitor setup!. If he can't hear you, your onstage sound WILL suffer, as you've already noticed!.

Then the rest of you can have a monitor or monitors (as few or as many as you need) so that you can hear each other!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
