You will probably want to get a Telecaster style guitar!. The Telecaster is the electric guitar favored by a lot of country rock artists!.

You can get a solid body Squier by Fender Telecaster like this:

your not going to find high quality in that price range, but Ibanez would be your best bet for bang for the buck, as far as country and christian music check out there artcore series, they start at $299 but some of there high end models can stand up to a Gretsch or Gibson, Chet Atkins played a Gretsch, actually got one named after him, the Country Gentleman, but in your price range the price tag would give you a brain hemorage, but that little 5120 for $600 is a sweetheart, but if you cant swing the extra 300 go for the Ibanez,Www@QuestionHome@Com

All depends on what kind of music you play!. I'll have to disagree with the "Fender Strat" reply!. Not that they aren't good guitars!. The cheaper ones ($200 range) are production line guitars!. Meaning, they don't take a lot of time on the craftsmanship!. Some of them are put together nicely some are crap!.

I'll answer the same way I did to another poster!.!.!.!.Go to a music store and test some out!. Play them, hold them, see how they feel in your hands!. See how they sound!. $300 is a lot to spend on just anything!. You're gonna want a guitar thats comfortable to play and sounds good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
